Palliative Care is a consultative service that focuses on the quality of life for individuals who are in any stage of a serious illness. This service can be provided while receiving active treatments.
Palliative Care can be delivered as a consultative service outpatient, in the clinic setting, and inpatient during a hospital stay. The focus of Palliative Care is ensuring the quality of life remains a focus for patients' who have serious illnesses, regardless of if they're undergoing treatments.
